MikeLite 350-2 (High-intensity model)
Typical
applications
Electronic inspection Entomology
Macrophotography Botany
Photomicroscopy
Cell biology
Mineralogy
Gemology & Jewelry
The
MikeLite 350-2 is the best stereo microscope light on the market today.
Here are
some of the advantages of the MikeLite
350-2 over fiberoptic lights:
- High intensity: Each
gooseneck illuminator puts out about 40 lumens of light that is
collimated into an intense cone of light. Goosenecks can be spaced
4"-6" from the subject with plenty of light for even, high-powered
magnification.
- Variable intensity light:
Light level can be accurately controlled with the rheostat control knob.
- 50,000 hour bulb life:
Unlike the halogen lamps in fiberoptics lights which routinely burn out
in 50-200 hours, LEDs virtually never burn out. The savings in light
bulbs alone will pay for your ML-350-2 many times over.
- Low Power Consumption:
The ML-350-2 consumes only 5 watts of power. Compare this to
most fiberoptics that consume 150-250 watts.
- Rugged gooseneck design:
The MikeLite goosenecks can be bent to virtually any position
as often as desired for optimal light positions. There are no glass
fibers to break.
- Our new 18" improved goosenecks
are very
stable
and do not move when set to the desired positions.
- Cold light: MikeLite
Illuminators produce no infrared or ultraviolet light and do not heat
up the subject. Since there are only 2 watts consumed by the LED, there
is virtually no heat output into the room where the light is used.
Fiberoptic lights consume 150-250 watts and can contribute a
significant heat load to the room.
- Compact size: The ML-350-2
occupies only 13.5 square inches of counter space and its compact size
makes it convenient to place it alongside a microscope for easy
control. The ML-350-2 control unit is not hot to the touch.
- Low Price: The ML-350-2
is less expensive than most fiberoptic lights.
- Type-L Gooseneck Illuminators
sold separately.

MikeLite 700 (Our highest intensity
model)
For applications that require
extremely bright light.
Typical
applications
Electronic inspection Entomology
Macrophotography Botany
Photomicroscopy
Cell biology
Mineralogy
Gemology & Jewelry
High-speed video
macrophotography
The
MikeLite 700 is the brightest stereo microscope light we offer.
Useful where extremely bright light is needed, such as in high-speed
video marophotography. It has all the same features as the
ML-350-2, except that is nearly twice as bright.
Here are
some of the advantages of the MikeLite 700 over fiberoptic
lights:
- High intensity: Each
gooseneck illuminator puts out about 80 lumens of light that is
collimated into an intense cone of light. Goosenecks can be spaced

MikeLite 4 (Medium-intensity
model)
Typical
applications:
Entomology
Gemology
Mineralogy
Coins
Cell biology
Stamps
The MikeLite
4, a compact bench
model, is excellent for applications where very high intensity lighting
is not required. It supports up to four powerful triple LED
gooseneck illuminators. Gooseneck illuminators are
super-flexible, with no glass fibers to break and virtually will never
burn out. Cold light is produced and illuminators will not heat
up the subject. The MikeLite 4 is a two-channel model.
Each
pair of goosenecks is independently controlled with a set of variable
intensity switches. The MikeLite 4 supports the single as well
as triple LED goosenecks employing white or UV LEDs. 12”, 18” and 24”
goosenecks (Type-A) can be
used. Does not use type-L illuminators.
The MikeLite
4 is powered with
a 12 volt DC wall transformer with a 6’ power cord.
Note:
MikeLite 4 power source and
Type-A Gooseneck Illuminators are sold separately.
Patent
pending. Made in USA.
